Do you have any more details, you can give the user my email details and I can try to help. The -instance <name> will define a unique Everything instance (by name) with its own settings and data. The -service-pipe-name <pipe-name> setting can be used to specify the service pipe name. This is an installation command. This command only updates the configuration file and returns immediately (which might explain the confusion) The default unnamed service uses the following pipe name: \\.\PIPE\Everything Service The user will need to call: Everything.exe -instance "my instance" -service-pipe-name "\\.\PIPE\Everything Service" -the above only needs to be called once to setup the initial configuration. -the above will create the initial configuration file and save the preferred service pipe name, then the user will need to call: Everything.exe -instance "my instance" Please let the user know I would be happy to help. |
