Icaros Shell Extensions 
Icaros Shell Extensions расширяет возможности стандартного проводника Windоws и обеспечивает качественное отображение эскиза практически любого видеофайла,
а также выводит свойства медиаформатов mkv, webm, flv, avi, xvid, rm, flac, ape, mp3, mpc, wav, wv и других прямо в проводнике Windоws.
Возможно отображение эскиза в проводнике в виде постера/обложки.
Для работы графического интерфейса программы в Windоws 7/Vista/XP необходим Для запуска графического интерфейса IcarosConfig.exe требуется Micrоsоft .NEТ Framewоrk 4 - ссылка для загрузки (40 МБ)
Установщик Icaros автоматически проверяет наличие Framework 4 в системе - если он отсутствует, будет предложена его загрузка.
В Windоws 11/10/8.1/8 Framework 4 уже встроен в систему.
Icaros можно использовать и без Framework 4, так как для генерации эскизов и отображения свойств дополнительные компоненты не требуются.
Для этого можно воспользоваться portable-версией, и зарегистрировать библиотеки IcarosThumbnailProvider.dll для создания эскизов
и IcarosPropertyHandler.dll для отображения свойств медиафайлов в cmd.exe следующими командами:

Обратите внимание, что в случае использования 32-битной системы, необходимо регистрировать библиотеки из папки 32-bit.
В случае использования 64-битной системы, необходимо регистрировать библиотеки из папки 64-bit, и, при желании, из папки 32-bit - для использования Icaros
в 32-битных приложениях.
Также без GUI доступны настройки Icaros через реестр - за более подробной информацией обращайтесь к README программы.
В Windоws XP поддерживается только отображение эскизов медиафайлов. Отображение свойств медиаформатов на этой системе не работает.

Интерфейс программы мультиязычный, в том числе русский.
Приложения из Microsoft Store имеют ограничение на использование внешних библиотек dll, поэтому работа Icaros в таких программах осложнена.
В качестве решения можно установить Icaros в папку System32 в категории Windоws или в директорию где установлено приложение.
Также можно удалить типы файлов в Icaros, эскизы которых не работают, тем самым оставляя их обработку стандартному решению Windоws.
