1. recharge your phone. Slide the phone (faceup) in the PC card slot (if you get new PCMIC hardware found message, simply ignore it) and the amble light (right light on the bottom of the phone) blinks. After fully charged, the light will go off.
2. intall your phone driver using the disc with it. Not much to say for installation.
3. turn your bluetooth device on on your laptop. there is a button with butterfly sign on the front of your laptop pannel. a blue light will be on if you switch the button. you might check with your laptop manual to locate the button.
4. connect your phone to your laptop
a. double click 'Bluetooth devices' in control pannel and select 'devices' tab. then click 'Add' button, it will prompt you a message to ask you turn on your bluetooth device.
b. To turn your phone on.
press and hold the the power button (the most right button) on your phone untill you hear two 'bee bee' sound and you will see the left light (amble) blinks at a low pace.
c. To turn your phone's bluetooth on
press the bluetooth button with butterfly sign ( the middle button) till the blue light (the left light)flashes. Your phone is ready to be searched by your laptop now.
d. Check 'My bluetooth is on and ready to be found' and click 'Next' in 'bluetooth devices' window. your laptop will start search available bluetooth devices. If your phone's blue light is off this moment, redo step c. make sure the blue light flashes while your laptop is searching.
e. If your laptop detect your phone, it will prompt you a message to ask for passkey. Select 'choose my own passkey' and enter '4444' for passkey. and click 'Continue'. then you will get your phone in the list with status 'paired and connected'. Now you will see the blue light on the phone flashes at a low pace.
f. Select 'Audio' tab in bluetooth devices, you will see your phone is the audio list with status 'connected blabalbla'. Next time if your phone is disconnecte, you can just go to this tab and click 'Connect' Button.
g. Now your phone is ready to use now. Change the audio setting in your messenger live or skype. Enjoy your conversation. 
Notes:
Make sure your phone is fully charged to avoid connection problem. Once even the blue light on the phone blinked, it could not connect to the laptop. after I recharged it, it connected without any problem. There is no power level indicator on the phone. Maybe Acer should add a power level indicator. |
