CSKA cheerleaders unable to attend Final Four May 7, 2003 The Euroleague regrets having to announce that the Red Foxes cheerleader group of CSKA Moscow, who won the contest to perform at the Final Four, has not been able to travel to Barcelona due to visa problems. Despite all the efforts made by the Euroleague, the visa problems were unsolvable. The Euroleague wishes to express its disappointment that the top vote-getter among the cheerleader groups who entered the contest is not able to take part in the event. Because of logistical and time considerations, neither has it been possible to invite Klaypedos University (representing Zalgiris Kaunas) nor Dragon Ladies (representing Union Olimpija) - who placed second and third, respectively, in the contest - to take Red Foxes' place as Final Four Official Cheerleaders. These circumstances have forced the organization to make a decision and replace the Red Foxes with the Dragons Cheerleaders, who perform for a NFL Europe football team, to guarantee the presence of a cheerleading group at the Final Four.
