NAME
socks5_clients - Applications bundled with the socks5 dis
tribution that have the socks5 library
routines statically built in
DESCRIPTION
The socks5 distribution includes these statically socksi
fied client applications for the socks5 environment:
archie
telnet
ftp
ping
traceroute
finger
whois
Do not socksify these applications with runsocks.
To use applications that are not socksified, socksify them
with runsocks, and create a socks5 library configuration
file, libsocks5.conf. For additional information about
dynamically socksifying applications, please refer to lib
socks5.conf(5) and runsocks(1) for complete details,
including setting environment variables.
You cannot socksify the ping and traceroute applications.
