VmDS Newbie Редактировать | Профиль | Сообщение | Цитировать | Сообщить модератору День добрый. Суть вопроса, закончилась триальная лицензия на VmWare и захотелось воспользоваться купленной . Файлы лицензий (HOST) сгенерированные на сайте VmWare успешно "прицепились" к ESX серверам. А вот активировать VirtualCenter Management Server не получается. You can find it under Start->Programs->Vmware->Vmware License Server->Vmware License Server tools. Select 'Service/License File' tab. Ensure that the option 'Configuration using services' is selected. Select 'Config Services' tab. Select the option 'Select path to license file'.   Browse to the license file. Click 'Open' and then click 'Save service'. Click 'Yes' to confirm. Select 'Start/Stop/Reread' tab. Click 'Stop server'. Wait for 10 seconds. Click 'Start server'. Wait for confirmation 'Server start successful'. Click 'Reread license file'. Wait for confirmation 'Reread license file successfully completed.' Select 'Server status' tab. Click 'Perform status enquiry' button. Scroll to 'Feature usage info'. Check the license counts.   Open an internet browser page and goto the url: Vmware.com/checklicense Copy-paste the contents of the license file into the license checker and click validate. Tally the license count in the license checker with the one generated with LMTools.   Open Windows services.(Start->Run->services.msc) Stop/Restart services for Vmware Virtual Center Server and Vmware License Server.     Configuring Virtual Center ----------------------------- Goto Start->Programs->Vmware->Vmware Infrastructure Client   Login To the Virtual Center. Select 'Administration' menu( please make sure you do not select the Administration button) Select the option 'Virtual Center Managenment Server configuration'. Ensure that 'evaluate Virtual Center is unchecked'. Select 'Use following license server' option, mention IP address or host name of the machine containing the license server. Select VC Server Edition from drop-down list. Click 'change host license server settings' check-box. Click OK.   Click Administration button, select licenses tab. Tally license count with license checker license count.     Configuring the ESX hosts -------------------------- Click 'Inventory' button. Select 'Add Host' option to add ESX hosts to the environment. If the hosts are already added previously(in case of an existing centralilzed environment),Click on the ESX server IP in the system tree under 'Hosts and Clusters'.   Click on 'Configuration' tab. Select 'Licensed features' under 'Software' heading.   Click 'edit' for License Source. Select 'use license server' option and mention IP address/Host name for the license server.   Click 'edit' for ESX Server Edition. Select ESX Server Foundation if you have ESX Foundation license. Select ESX Server Standard if you have ESX Standard/Enterprise license.   Click 'edit' for Add-ons.   Check/uncheck as necessary. Click OK.     Добавлено: Привет. Все очень просто, переустанови VMware License Server, при установке выбери тип нужной лицензии (у меня Virtual Center Foundation Management ) Замена на нужный вариант после установки у меня не прошла   Удачи.
