Mortherboard BIOS Ver. Description    
ABIT NF7/NF7-S Rev 2.0 1.8 - Fixed the problem that system hangs up with POST code 01 while resuming from STR mode with user defined DRAM timings. With default SPD setting, no problem at all and doesn't need this update.   - Fixed the problem that system hangs up at POST code FF with over clocking setting- change the multiplier factor from CPU default to 19.   - Fixed the problem that Barton 2500+ CPU is occasionally detected as Barton 3200+. If 400 FSB CPU is installed, users need to select correct CPU type in SoftMenuIII by themselves

Fixed the problem that system fails to boot up after loads Fail-safe defaults.   4. Changed the option wordings of "Boot Device" from "ZIP100" to "ZIP100/250" and from "USB-ZIP" to "USB-ZIP/LS120".   5. Remove the string "An Energy Star ally" on the BIOS post screen. 4. Improve ACPI function. 5. Change the wording in PC Health section from "DDR VDDQ Voltage" to "DDR VTT Voltage". 6.     Подскажите пожайлуста!!!
    BIOS при каждой перезагрузке апдейтит ESCD, а недавно начал зависать после "Updating ESCD...". У меня старая мать VА6 с последним BIOS.
    Что можно сделать?

    Спасибо за помощь.  
    Я уже делал так (Reset Configuration Data: Enable), но помагает только на 2-3 перезагрузки. В том же разделе: PNP OS Installed : No  (WinXP SP1).
    Сегодня сделал опять но результат тот же.
    А нормально ли видеть "Updating ESCD..." каждую загрузку?

    Это насколько я понимаю зависит от особенностей материи установленного оборудования. Кстати в твоем случае может быть опцию PNP OS Installed нужно попробовать установить в положение Yes. Так не пробовал?

    За последнюю неделю я уже много чего пробовал и это тоже.
    Вот и сегодня машина только с третьего раза завелась.
    Проблема только при загрузке, а в остальном работает отлично.
    Выставлю default в BIOS и начну эксперименты с начала.
    Если есть еще какие-то мысли, то буду признателен.
