* eng - в драйвере содержится только английский язык и в драйверах и в панели управления, int - содержатся много языков включая английский и русский, и из-за этого размер драйвера может увеличится в 2 раза
* x86 - подразумевается, что драйвер предназначен для 32х битных ОС
* x64 - подразумевается, что драйвер предназначен для 64х битных ОС
если не указана какая версия х86 или х64 то по умолчанию х86, т.е. 32х битная

А что насчет моего вопроса, относительно последних дров?

77.77 не идут. Какие есть еще варианты? Очень хочеться WHQL но уже не обязательно. Так какие пойдут?

Если верить сайту www.nvworld.ru, то в версиях 77.72 и выше карточки Riva TNT/Riva TNT2/GeForce 256 вообще отсутствуют, а Riva TNT отсутствует во всех WHQL версиях. Правда у меня под Win2k даже 71.84 (71.89) уже не работают. Последний из рабочих - это 66.93, но он тоже не WHQL.

Друзья, будьте любезны подскажите, какие последние WHQL сертифицированные драйвера под Win2k и Win9x поддерживают Riva TNT/TNT2? Ну не Рокфеллер я, чтобы выкачивать их все подряд и проверять до посинения или пока не подойдут. Из тех, что я пробовал, все либо не WHQL, либо не держут Riva TNT/TNT2. Сейчас остановился на 66.93 (не WHQL). Есть какие-то другие варианты? Посоветуйте, пожалуйста. Заранее благодарен.

Интересно,  а как ты умудрился их установить? У меня при установке 71.84 под Win2k пишет что-то вроде "Программа установки не обнаружила соответствующего оборудования" и молча вываливается.

У меня GeForce 7800 GT и NGO NVIDIA Optimized Driver 1.8195 - такие артифаки с 3D приложениями выдаёт...!!! Даже с NFSMW глюки !!
 
так что решил качнуть оффициальные ftp://download.nvidia.com/Windows/81.95/81.95_forceware_winxp2k_international_whql.exe

Дык я ставлю через диспетчер устройств, но и-то хитро: вручную -> в указаном месте -> устанвить с диска -> снимаю галочку "показивать только совместимые устройства" и все, каежться...

Спасибо большое за подсказку, через диспетчер действительно работает, но если не ошибаюсь 71.84 последняя версия, на которой проходит данный трюк, поэтому выше нее нам с тобой, похоже, ничего не светит.

Nvidia 6600GT PCI-E. Windows 2003 Server SP1.
В свойствах forceware версия DirectX стоит 3 ! Разумеется, устанавливал DirectX 9.0c и dxdiag показывает 9.0c. Пока особых проблем с этим не было, но появился NFSMW и он ругается на версию directX.
Похоже дело именно в том, что Nvidia на Windows 2003 показывает версию 3.
Пробовал различные версии Forceware от 77.хх до 81.85. Сейчас буду пробовать последнюю версию ForceWare...
Кто сталкивался с аналогичной проблемой?

Установи DirectX  с игрового диска, он там ещё один файлик добавляет.
